Issue Overview
LifePod safes, including the Sig Sauer LifePods, are shipped in the unlocked position. If your new LifePod won't open, it's likely due to pressurization that occurred during transit.
Troubleshooting Steps
1. Release Transit Pressure
- Open the keyhole door to release any built-up pressure
- Release the compression latches.
- Lift the lid of the LifePod to access the owner's manual, keys, etc.
2. Check for Accidental Locking
Important: The LifePod is not rechargeable. The USB connection is only for emergency power when the battery dies.
If you have already: - Plugged the safe into power, AND - Held the lock icon
You may have inadvertently locked the safe.
3. Use Default Master Code
If the unit has been locked, use the default master code to unlock it. The new Default master code for all new LifePods is: 21424132
Note: Contact support for the specific default master code if you have an older model safe.
