Battery Replacement Options

Due to supply chain shortages, Vaultek no longer supplies accessory batteries. However, approved replacement batteries are available from third-party vendors.

Battery Specifications

  • Use only approved replacement batteries
  • Important: Choose Flat Top type when purchasing
  • Do not buy unknown brands as they may not be safe due to inferior quality

Battery Maintenance Guidelines

Best Practices

  • Always use a fresh battery instead of an old one
  • Never use a battery with any noticeable physical damage as it may not be safe
  • Use name brands only when replacing batteries

Replacement Schedule

  • Change your battery every 2 years
  • This is especially critical for rechargeable batteries to prevent potential electronic failure and safety hazards caused by overheating and fast drainage

Warning: If your battery has been used for more than 2 years, replace it with a new battery right away!

Troubleshooting Display Issues

If your display does not light up after installing a new battery:

  1. Ensure the battery is properly installed and charged
  2. Verify you are using the correct battery type (Flat Top)
  3. Check that the battery contacts are clean and are making proper connection

When Hardware Issues Persist

If the display still doesn't work after battery replacement, this may indicate a hardware issue beyond the battery. Contact support with the following information:

  1. Order number/Amazon order ID/store receipt
  2. Shipping address
  3. The P/N number of the safe (located on the battery cover door or on the jacket of the instructions manual)
